Dear Members and Friends of the Cathedral;

This is an exciting time for the Cathedral.  I feel a sense of anticipation and enthusiasm as we carry out the ministry and work of this community.  I believe that God is moving among us.  The Campaign for the Next 150 Years is growing in momentum.  This is a time when we are making decisions that will launch us into the next chapter of this community so rich in history, tradition and ministry.  And we have a growing vision of our future.

This brochure is designed to provide you with a vision of our future.  Our vision is rooted in a wonderful past and a long history of service and commitment to the Episcopal Church, the Diocese of Dallas, and the Dallas community.  However, we are not just a community tied to its past.  We are also a place of innovation and creativity when it comes to meeting the needs of those around us.  

As you begin to read this brochure, you will see our deep roots.  You will find reference to our rich history and the beauty of the Cathedral.  You will see that we are the inheritors of the generosity of those who have gone before us.  

Then, you will find an account of our many and varied ministries.  You will be able to see our rich diversity, and our openness to all God’s people.  You will read of the ways the Cathedral is touching lives and giving hope for the future.  You will see the various ways that we provide leadership and training for the Diocese.  You will see our commitment to children both inside and outside the Church.

Finally, you will read of our plans for the future.  The steps we are about to take through our campaign will enable us to minister more effectively to the community and the church.  These plans revitalize and expand our present well-worn facilities.  But the future is not just about these facilities, it is about the ministries, the new families, and the individuals who will be a part of this Church in the future.  This vision is about preaching a compassionate Christ while being a community of compassion.  It is about the heart and soul of all that the Church and this Cathedral is called to do and to be.  This campaign is about vision, hope, and the future.  We have an opportunity to reach toward this future though the Next 150 Years.  Let us begin, and let us begin together.
