Christian Formation

Christian Formation for Children and Youth

Christian formation classes for children and youth are held each Sunday morning at 9:35 in Garrett Hall.

In addition, a Children's Chapel is available during the first part of the 10:30 service.  Children follow the cross out at the beginning of the service, attend Children's Chapel in the oratory just outside the Cathedral, and are escorted back to the Cathedral at the time of the peace.

Adult Christian Formation

Christian Formation classes for adults are offered each Sunday morning at 9:35 in the Great Hall. Classes explore every aspect of the Christian faith, ranging from understanding Scripture, applying Christian principles to daily life, and serving others as Christ served us.  Newcomers and seekers welcome!

Current classes include "How to Speak Episcopalian" with Dean Neal Michell and "Key Events in the Book of Acts" with Keeley Chorn and Daniel Allen.

Growth Groups

Growth groups are groups of twelve to fifteen people who meet regularly in a home or at the Cathedral for food, worship, talk or study, and prayer.  Growth groups meet at a time that is convenient for the group members and are always open to new people. Growth groups facilitate the process of spiritual growth, challenging and encouraging each member to become a committed disciple of Jesus Christ, a person who loves God and neighbor, serving with their heads, hearts and hands. New Growth Groups are forming now.  To find the one that is just right for you, contact Dean Neal Michell at 214-823-8134 or email Susie Rodriguez at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
